Anti-Gay Wingnut Pastor Tries to Appeal to Youth through Free Coffee and Going Godwin Against Gays
This pastor, like Ben Stein, equates anything he doesn’t like with Nazism, conveniently forgetting that the Wehrmacht marched wearing “Gott Mit Uns” belt buckles. They thought they were on a mission from god too.
City Councilor Timothy J. Rooke said that beyond the truancy issue, he is concerned about Lively himself, who has drawn national media coverage for his views and comments on issues including homosexuality.
Rooke referenced Lively’s book “The Pink Swastika: Homosexuality in the Nazi Party.”
On the website for “The Pink Swastika,” Lively said, “… the Nazi Party was conceived, organized and controlled … by masculine-oriented male homosexuals …”
Lively, who now lives in Springfield and is pastor of Redemption Gate Mission Society, said Friday he has been inaccurately depicted in news reports.
